time management in six words

If you're trying to get more work done you should read this.
I've worked with a LOT of successful people. Got to see them function up close. Picked up a lot.
I've also seen basically every time management system there is. Every binder, every methodology, every workflow, every workbook. You name it, I've seen it.
And they all fall apart completely when you apply pressure.
A lot of these systems are designed for people working a 9-5 office job. Soft deadlines. Plenty of time to get everything sorted out. And nothing really bad happens when you miss a deadline every once in a while, either.
That's not what my life is like. I hope it's not what your life is like either.
I remember trying out a time management system that required you to take 1.5 hours to plan your day in the morning.
Did that for a solid week. Got less work done. Because I was spending 90 minutes of my most productive time just... planning.
And you know what's interesting? When you watch successful people they all have their own quirks and ways of doing things, but there is a common thread.
And I think you can boil it down to six words.
Think Less.
Do More.
Just Blast.
Every successful guy I know spends prioritises DOING things. If he is thinking, he’s thinking for a few minutes max. He's not pondering, he's not planning, he's not stroking his beard gazing out into the distance, thinking dEeP tHoUgHts.
He is DOING things.
And he requires the same of his people.
If you make a list of the things you need to do today and go over that list you'll easily
be able to figure out a top 3.
If you can't, just practice it every day and after a couple days you'll get the hang of it.
When you have your top 3, start with #1. Finish that. Do #2. Then #3.
Then go back to your list. Make a new top 3. Repeat.
Will make you a LOT more productive.
Think less. Do more. Just blast.
